The Mooney has always been one of my favorite general aviation planes, primarily for it's looks.

My very first Mooney attempt just whetted my appetite. It looked great in the air, even though it was heavy and clunky. It consisted of a solid carved styrofoam fuselage, and a cut-down wing from a wal-mart glider. It was powered by a GWS 300 gearbox/motor and an 8-cell AAA NiMH battery pack. The AUW was a lot, in the 14 oz range.

The plane's AUW is 6.5 oz with a Thunderpower 730 2-cell lipoly battery. Powered by a GWS LPS RXC-C motor/gearbox and a GWS 9x7 slowfly prop, it's slow enough to fly indoors. I am currently selling short kits of this airplane, which include a stack of precision laser-cut wood, and PDF diagrams.

Watch a video of this plane in action (11.5MB). Sure the video isn't great, but winter has set in, once the weather shapes up I will take it out again!
